The best thing you can do for your feet is to simply wear shoes that fit properly. By the end of a typical day, your feet have been subjected to hundreds of tons of pressure. For many people that means aching feet and tired legs because they are not wearing shoes that fit and support their feet properly!

  • Your feet swell over the course of the day, so always buy footwear in the evening.
  • Make sure you have lots of room to wiggle your toes inside the shoes.
  • Make sure you have about a half inch of space between the tips of your toes And end of the shoes.
  • For most people , one foot is bigger than the other, so always try on both shoes!
  • Do not buy shoes if they need “breaking in”. If shoes aren’t comfortable from the start, they never will be!
  • If you have orthotics make sure you are wearing them while trying on new shoes.
  • Always purchase and wear shoes appropriate to your activities! Running shoes are made for running, tennis shoes are made for tennis, basketball shoes are made for basketball – you get the idea!
